Vita "die cowboys"
Digital Editing

"the cowboys", Lauri Trillitzsch (*1970) and Oliver Kussinger (*1972), met while studying Communication and Design with a focus on film & animation as well as photography at the Georg-Simon-Ohm Hochschule in Nuremberg.

Early Accomplishments
They were still in school when they began to collaborate on numerous projects. Their music video "Bolek Bolek" for the Finnish band Aavikko, which was invited to numerous film festivals, garnered them international recognition. Their next effort and graduation project, the music video "Video killed the Radio Star" ('Handsome Hank and His Lonesome Boys,' Switzerland) was invited to 25 international film festivals, including Toronto, Buenos Aires and Trontheim, and won them a total of seven awards including the First Prize at the "kurzundschön" Festival in Cologne and the Special Jury Award of the MedienCampus Bayern e.V.

The Big Times
In 2004, the year they graduated, they started their own production company dedicated to developing and producing short film formats such as corporate films, commercials and music videos, and they have since completed numerous projects for corporate clients, including Revell, Siemens and the International Toy Fair Nuremberg eG. Other clients that rely on their expertise are the Department of Computer Science at the University in Erlangen and the Major's Office and the Press Department of the City of Fuerth.

Teaching Assignments
Lauri Trillitzsch and Olliver Kussinger have also made a name for themselves as educators. They've been shepherding, and to great acclaim, the class projects of VFX students at the Bayerische Akademie für Fernsehen in Munich, and have taught in the Department of MulitmediaArt at the University for Applied Science in Salzburg and at the renowned Hochschule für Film und Fernsehen in Munich.

Digital Editing in Nuremberg
The Digital Editing class offered at the Department of FILM & ANIMATION at the Ohm Hochschule imparts more than the technological knowhow needed to operate software applications. It goes far beyond those confines to include the supervision of ongoing projects, particularly in terms of their creative realization. Starting with preproduction and ending with the completion of postproduction, the class focuses on the development of ideas and concepts as well as the realization thereof.
